About this book:

 

This book is a true story about my life. I chose the title Blue Eyes and Freckles because most people put their face on the cover of a book about their life so I thought I should do the same. I opted for a description-only approach instead of a photo for two reasons. 

 

First, this book isn’t just about me but it’s really about you. Let me explain.

 

My goal for writing this book is to share some of the mistakes that I made in my life so you can learn from them and live your best life—mistake-free! (You’re welcome, my pleasure)

 

Second, I chose a description-only cover for another more important reason as well.

 

Through the telling of my story, I am trying to show that behind the ordinary features of every face on this planet is an extraordinary life story and that all of our life stories are an adventurous journey full of amazing ups and difficult downs and everything in between. And as we make our way through our life journey, we have the ability to set whatever goals we want for ourselves and can try to leave whatever mark we want to leave upon the earth. But no matter how awesome things may be going, life can deal us unexpected blows that can cause even the strongest among us to coming crashing down. And these hard times are not just mindless acts caused by a God who doesn’t care, but are often the defining moments that change us, teach us, transform us and lead us into becoming the being that we were truly destined to become, into accomplishing what we were truly destined to accomplish and into leaving the mark upon this earth that we were truly destined to leave. I’m just praying (hoping, begging, wishing, pleading) that my life story is interesting to you and will help you with many aspects of your life. That’s an ambitious goal I know, but I figured that I gotta go big or go home. And since I’ve been a stay-at-home mom for 27 years and my kids have now flown the nest, I’m ready to bust out of the home so it’s definitely time for me to go big!

I know this section is supposed to tell you about me, but here’s the thing: This entire book is about me (and my life) so if I give you the cliff note version in this section, it would spoil the book which would be a total blockhead move on my part and I’m not a total blockhead.
