Marketing and Communications

Generated ideas and designed marketing plans to maximize lead-generation and customer acquisition efforts and to increase the profit generated from conferences, seminars, memberships and the sale of products and services.
Successfully launched the ad sales initiative for two trade publications, which included developing the pricing strategy, researching reader demographics, writing content for the media planner and selling space.
Developed strategies for selling exhibit space and for driving traffic into the hall.

Content Writing/Public Relations

Wrote content for a broad spectrum of projects, ranging from websites and marketing pieces to media planners and sales presentations.

Event Planning

Hired to assist with planning, advertising, and executing a prominent city event—The Welcome Home Celebration honoring Steven Lopez, the 2000 Olympic Gold Medalist in Taekwondo.
As night manager of a student center, was responsible for ensuring that all events in the building had proper set-up and equipment and addressed any issues that arose.
